By the way, if you're wondering why the e-mail addresses are "something @ fatchuck.com", it's because spam harvesters do cruise over web sites looking for e-mails to add to their lists. Now that I'm getting over 150 spam messages a day (even with Spam Assassin), I thought I'd try taking easy-to-harvest e-mails off my site. Hopefully it helps! :-)

That said, this site is my effort to scratch some itches and have some fun. You know how it is. Something starts out as a quick little "fix it" for some problem and before you know it, it's grown to become a monster, consuming all of your time, and otherwise destroying any claim you might have had to a normal life.

I've reigned in the site and knocked off half the stuff that I used to update all the time so that this could be small, not-time-consuming, and fun again. I once started this place some time before 9/11 in reaction to the copy-protected "corrupt" CDs that the major labels (that's Universal Music Group, Warner Music, Sony Music, BMG and EMI) were beginning to put out, but it's since morphed into an Indie evangelism site.

I still track corrupt CDs (see, they're right here) but it's stupid to condemn something without having an alternative solution. So, I hope a few people will jump out of their rut and check out all the terrific Indies who are making it happen around the world (Right here...).
